June has been an extremely busy and challenging month on the work front it’s a wonder I’ve gotten any sewing done.
Alas, in addition to working on the 3rd project from My Quilty Bucket, I did get most of my June BOMs made.
First up is the Build A Quilt block #7. The marigold is not officially part of the Stay Wild colorway, it’s my personal touch. I am not thrilled where I added it in the last three blocks I’ve made, but oh well, I am not changing any of them. There are three more monthly blocks, (Angela’s Build A Quilt projects consist of 10 blocks) and then it will be time to start working on the rest of the layout and putting it all together.
June’s Monthly Color Challenge is Pumpkin/Orange and this is my 6″ block.
I don’t have any Criss Cross Stars to show in this post but I quite like these two cross plus blocks. =) These blocks are part of a sew along I’m doing w/Madonna (@sunnybunnyquilts on IG).

Lovely blocks, all! I like the idea of adding your own personal touch to the Build A Blocks, and the marigold is so pretty with the other colors. Of course, the Monthly Color Challenge block gives me all the feels with that bold orange and red orange! Love! Enjoy your weekend!
Wow, your piecing is so precise! I like the touch of marigold, and the more it’s repeated/scattered in other blocks, the more cohesive it’ll look in the finished quilt. I like that you’ve added a personal touch to a pattern.
I still love your “splash of marigold” and I think that, even if you’re not thrilled with it in one or two individual blocks, I’ll bet it will look amazing when the whole quilt comes together. Trust your instincts — you are really good with color! 🙂
