Round 1, Project 2 = Chevron Quilt
I pulled this project on Apr 25, 2021. It’s for a friend who has waited patiently for a quilt for quite sometime.

She didn’t have a specific pattern in mind but her favorite color is blue. Ever since I’ve been thinking on a quilt for her, I’ve wanted to incorporate this cream w/blue & brown circles. I didn’t have much of it and wanted to use every inch of what I had. It turned out I had just enough to make one chevron stripe in this quilt.

I had all the HSTs cut out in a matter of minutes thanks to this die and my AccuCut GrandeMark 2 which is identical to the Accuquilt Studio 2.

This quilt went together so quickly!

I had it on the frame in no time.

I even felt brave enough to quilt it with a Flower Meander motif that Angela Walter teaches in this video, which I did from edge to edge.

Ta-da! It’s not perfect, but it’s finished! And when I warsh it, all the quilting imperfections will disappear into crinkly goodness.

After I finished this quilt, I decided to tackle sorting my fabric by color. Here’s a before pic.

And here’s my after pic. It looks so much better and the stacks are a uniformed width. I’m very happy with it. Now all I have to do is keep it in order. Eeek!

That’s all I have to share on the quilting front. Until next time, God Bless & Happy Stitchin’!
A Thread for Life
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.– Romans10:9-11NIV

That is such a pretty quilt – I love the fabrics! It makes me want to curl up under it with a good book. I am a messy quilter when I’m in the midst of a project. I’m trying to get into the habit of putting the fabrics away when I’m done with them, rather than stack them somewhere for cleaning up later, because “later” always means a bigger job than it needed to be! Yay for getting your space back in order!
Hi Zenia! What a lovely quilt for your very patient friend. All the other fabrics you selected compliment your focus one so nicely. I just ADORE your choice for quilting – great use of the flower meander. No imperfections will ever be noticed at all! Only you will be that critical of the piece – everyone else will enjoy its overall beauty. Yay you for completing another project from your quilty bucket. ~smile~ Roseanne
Neat quilt!!! Great that it went together in a flash. I love your quilting motif–perfect for a girlfriend’s quilt!
What a great quilt and quilting! I’m sure she will love it.
Beautiful job on quilting the Chevron quilt and your fabric shelves look fabulous!!
I love your chevron quilt and how you pulled the palette from your inspiration fabric. That backing is perfect! I’m sure your friend will love it. Lucky friend!
I’d love some explanation of the bucket. Do you have projects in there that you choose by picking a slip out? Interesting idea, if that’s what you’re doing.
oooohhhhh Love that zig zag quilt!!! What beautiful fabrics!!! and holee buckets – you are now so organized!
Another brilliant finish! Just beautiful, my friend!
