Making Moves

For real though!

As anyone who reads my blog or follows on FB or IG knows, I started traveling to Kansas City for work this summer.

Well, I guess I’m doing a good job, because the company I work for… the company I have worked for all of my adult life (besides that short stint at Doña Ana County), made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. And long story short, I’m moving to Kansas City!

Yes it’s humid. But to me, the humidity is no worse than the extreme temps in Phoenix.

Yes, I know there are tornadoes. When it’s my time to go, it’s my time to go. It won’t matter what city I’m in. Besides, I know where I’m going when that time comes so I’m not worried. Plus they have delicious BBQ!

Yes, I know it gets very cold, and has snow/ice storms in the winter. It’s easier to warm up than to cool off plus, I don’t work outdoors. And, remember, I am from Colorado.

Did I mention the delicious BBQ?

Yes, I will miss my family and friends, dearly, but we are blessed w/amazing technology and I’m only a 2.5hr flight away!

Oh, and this is my cute little rental until I decide where to buy.

This is an awesome opportunity and I am super excited! Let the adventures begin!

  1. Congratulations on the move! Two other bloggers just moved to KC! Is there something going on there, that I’m missing out on? Hahaha! When we come down for a Twins game, I’ll have to put the word out. We could have a quilty meet up!

  2. A new season for your ‘life book’. And,,,, your attitude about it will make it the best season so far! Congratulations on the promotion and enjoy the packing up and unpacking on the other end. The best life comes to those who make their attitude match their desires.

  3. Many great decisions you are making for your life! Be all God made you to be. Take every step and walk through every open door! I’m happy for you, and agree with each point you made. Live life full! Explore Kansas! I have feeling you will make plenty of friends wherever you go. Plus you have mega talent. I love that rental! What a cute cozy looking place to try out Kansas in! I also think that company knows good when they meet it! Yep, they got a great employee in you. I can’t wait to hear more about your new adventure!

  4. Excited for you! As you know, that is my hometown. My son and his family still live there, my sister-in-law (and her college girls) are there on the KS side. Yes, it is all those things you mention, but it feels like you will love it! And yes, the BBQ…that is my husband’s favorite thing there. His favorite is Arthur Bryant’s. Looking forward to seeing how you settle in and how you are blessed there! Moving is quite the adventure!
