Even more important than what I would pack to wear while on my work trip to KCKS, was what projects I would take to work on.
I took a few projects, but my most favorite was this adorable lunch tote.
I’ve been wanting to make this lunch tote for quite awhile so I was excited to finally be starting it.
Because it’s a lunch bag, I had brown paper bags in mind when I chose these pretty browns.
I didn’t want to travel w/a cutting mat larger than the 6″ x 8″ I brought for paper piecing, so I pre-cut everything before I left home.
The pattern gave me a few fits, but after a couple nights, my Brown Bag Delight was finished!
I also finished a few more butterflies for the Festive Flutter Tree wall hanging I’ve been working on. I think I have 3 butterflies left to make. I didn’t take any pics though, because I was too busy adoring my new lunch tote.
And lastly, I finished the blocks for a Chisel Star lap quilt.
I used the chisel die and my AccuQuilt fabric cutter to cut all the pieces and I had several blocks pieced before I got to KC, but I finished the rest there.
And here’s a pic of my happy stitchin’ corner in the hotel room.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy stitchin’ and God Bless.

So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. – Galatians 6:9-10
Oh, that bag is so cute, and all those pockets!! Your other projects are looking good too. Looks like you had a fun sewing retreat set up in your hotel room!
Love all your projects…it is nice that you were able to travel with your machine and all. Whoop Whoop!
I love the quilt pattern Chisel Star. It’s gonna be pretty when it is finished. You really get a lot accomplished. You always have a variety of things to show. Thanks for sharing.
love it all
Adorable bag. Your Chisel quilt is so pretty in those colors. Isn’t funny how we thing about what projects we are taking when we travel before we think about clothes!
great to see you actually set up a sewing area in your hotel room!
I love that you made a “brown bag” lunch bag. It looks great.
I’ll make you a nice warm top if I can have one of these awesome bags!😊
