I set a goal for myself to finish 4 UFOs by the end of this year.
I’m proud to say that 3 of the 4 are flimsies. This means the tops are done and they are ready for quilting! With this being said, only one of them will be “done and done” by year’s end, and I am totally okay with that.
Scrappy Webs is smaller than I originally intended, but between the process of making these blocks and the waste involved, I got to the point where I could not…would not, make one more block.
Arkansas/Iowa Traveler is one I started just about 3 years ago. I determined to finish it this year when preparing for my 2nd trip to Iowa to visit Greta. She gifted me all of the precut diamonds after my first visit in 2014.
Through Thick and Thin is the biggest quilt I’ve made to date. It’s king size for my very own bed. It’s a scrappy log cabin constructed w/2.5″ and 1.25″ logs, hence the name, Through Thick and Thin. I started this a couple of years ago. I chose an offset barn-raising layout and added the sashing on a whim and I LOVE how it turned out! This will be the first one I quilt. So excited to get it on my bed!
And now for that freebie.
Straits and Arrows is my first original pattern.
I created it on paper and then somehow, God only knows, I was able to create it in EQ5! I don’t think I could do it again if you paid me!
But I did it, and it was featured in the Jan 2017 Stash Builder Box.
I just recently added it to my Craftsy Pattern Store and guess what? It’s free for a limited time!
So if it tickles your fancy, click on this link to download your free copy today. And don’t forget to tell all your friends!
As always, I thank you for visiting!

All of your tops are pretty. They will be lovely once they are quilted. You got a lot accomplished. Me? I am making Christmas stockings for all my grandkids and it’s a lot of fun.
Your flimsies all look great, and so very different from each other too! I promised my sister that I would make her a quilt…….then found out that she has a California king! Not looking forward to that at all!
I love them all! You do great work!
Those are some really wonderful quilt tops!! Thank you for sharing the link for your quilt design.
All three are beautiful. I love the Traveler — I don’t believe I’ve seen that pattern before. The log cabin is going to look great on your bed.
I’m not positive where you’re getting your information, however great topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or figuring out more. Thanks for excellent information I was in search of this information for my mission.
