I finally made it to Michigan to visit Katy.
We met through the “blogisphere” when I read she visited her son in AZ. And I was beside myself to learn he lived around the corner from me!
Even though I invited myself to MI, she and her hubby were great sports about it.
She even gave me this t-shirt.
She has a beautiful home and gave me permission to take and post as many pics as I wanted. If there aren’t enough pics in this post, there are more on my Instagram.
There were quilts everywhere!
This tall vintage ladder loaded w/quilts was one of my favorite attractions.
I enjoyed my visit there. My only complaint being how quickly the time flew by.
We spent a lot of time in her phenomenal sewing studio.
She took me around the area. It was divine. All woody and green.
We visited a little light house and climbed the 80+ steps to the top.
To me, the weather was perfect, if a little cloudy.
Katy, I’m very grateful we are friends and looking forward to visiting again whether here in AZ or in MI.
And I am smitten w/the mitten.
A Thread for Life
Glad you and Katy had a grand time. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I have been a follower of both you and Katy for quite sometime. I was very happy to see you visit her. I love the little quilt you made for her. I read about the pattern earlier on your blog. I’m so glad you had a good time. Hugs,
Glad you had a good visit. I’m envious of Katy’s studio.
How fun! My mom is in Arizona and I lived in Michigan for 8 years before moving to Ohio to marry my husband. (We have a nice big guest room, just saying!) Loved your pictures and my jaw is on the floor still after seeing Katy’s studio!
So glad that you had a good time with Katy and so very envious of her studio. Wow.
Can’t wait to see you later this month!
