A Quick Handmake to Gift

I was recently invited to, and attended, three parties.

Since I’m a maker, it’s pretty much “a must” that I give handmade gifts. This is purely my own rule, not something imposed by anyone else.

But, since I’m also a busy person w/a long list of UFOs, my handmade gifts must also be things I can make quickly. And these fabric coasters fit the ticket perfectly!

I used a tutorial very similar to this one I found on Pinterest.  I used 5″ squares, which means it’s a perfect project to use up those charm packs you’ve been hoarding. I also used batting instead of fusible web.   Since the liner is not visible, it doesn’t have to be pretty; muslin will do. Nicely. I also top stitched around the perimeter of mine but it’s not necessary.

If you are looking for quick, cute, and functional, look no further!
