Not Quite an "All" Night Sew w/Sis

It sounded like a good idea at the time…but who am I kidding? I cannot stay up ALL night!…but a few weeks ago, I thought I could and my sis tried to make me.  It was my idea…and the plan was to make 2 of these Big Bucket Tote Bags each.  It wasn’t a race, but I, having more experience, finished first. When sis saw just how BIG the Big Bucket Tote finished, she changed her mind about making hers that BIG.  After finishing one each…I was finally able to crawl into bed.  It was 139a!
Sis’ 1st tote, not quite as deep
My 1st tote, 21.5″ deep!!
We made our 2nd totes the next day after church and changed things up w/the handles and quilting.
My 2nd tote
Sis’  2nd tote

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time, Happy Quilting and God Bless!
A Thread for Life

Broken Vessels by Hillsong
All these pieces, Broken and scattered
In mercy gathered Mended and whole
Empty handed But not forsaken
I’ve been set free I’ve been set free
You take our failure You take our weakness
You set Your treasure In jars of clay
So take this heart Lord I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see Your love in me
Amazing grace How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost But now I’m found
Was blind but now I see
Oh I can see it now Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down Raising up the broken to life

  1. What a fun thing to do together Zenia! It's really great that you each made two. I'm looking at the deep ones and thinking it would be fun watching someone pull things out of those – like Mary Poppins' carpet bag, LOL.
Your Threads for Life are always beautiful.

  2. Well it was a fun time making the bags… I would have stayed up all night. but I suppose zee is just getting too old for all this stuff !! lol

After she was done making her first bag.. It seemed as though I maybe able to climb right in side 😛 …. it was more than half of the length of my body >>> all in all it was an awesome time.. Thanks Zee

  3. Your bags are beautiful. Makes me miss my sister. We haven't had a visit since June! Thanks for the song. I have a friends going through a deep valley and it has been a day of prayer.

  4. The two of you do amazing work, your totes are beautiful. I've had projects like that, when you don't want to quit until you are finished. Burning the midnight oil . . . at least you had the company of your sister 🙂

  5. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!! I found your blog last month. Every now and then I find a blog that makes me want to start from the beginning and read the WHOLE story. Yours is the 3rd. I click on every link but I don’t read all of the comments. I love your and your sisters bags but I LOVE that song. Thank you.
