This year was our 4th annual Kids Camp. It ran from July 13-17. Kids Camp is a week long sewing day camp that Quilters Anonymous hosts. We teach kids, 10 yrs+ how to sew, and they make several cute projects in the process! We have 2 sessions, 9a-Noon and 1p-4p. This year we had 15 kids in each session, many of them repeats from previous years. This year I got to volunteer all day, every day. I loved it!

Microwave Cozy – I actually taught this class. A tutorial will be coming soon!
Zippered Pouches
Fabric Basket – This was a bonus project for the quick finishers. Most of the kids made one!
Thanks for being a volunteer! Is is so important. Those kids have a great time and learned great skills! They sure did great jobs!!
I LOVE ALL OF THIOSE!! 🙂 I bet they had so much fun!! So….my question is, How do I put in an order for the fabric baskets? I would LOVE to have a few of those for my smaller crochet projects. I can easily put a skein of yarn and the hat or scarf that is being worked on and the needle in that! Let me know Z!! I LOVE THESE!! And I would even get a few for my crochet friends here!!
Such cute projects…great work!
That sewing room was really humming! How fun to be able to sit and sew with the kids for a week! And what a great lineup of projects. God's blessings to you!
Zenia, what a wonderful experience that must have been, and what a positive post (love the Thread for Life, so gosh darn true)! I have wanted to teach sewing but never had or made the opportunity. Something to put on my “eventual-to-do” list! Also, girl you style such nice photos (the pillow shams with the popcorn, too cute!)
What a great idea. I'm sure you had just as much fun as the kids did.
What a thrill to spread the joy of sewing! The memories will stay with the kids for life.
What a great camp! Wish we had something like that here! My kid would listen more to someone else than she does me lol!
WHat a cool camp!!!
I would love to do this. I want to start my own sewing club.
I know this was really really fun.
My oldsters are sucking the energy out of me.
I love you Zenia, you are an angel
