It’s Been A Long While…

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I’ve written a blog post!

I finally finished binding Walk Like An Egyptian last night!

I made these B&W blocks for a community project we are doing at Quilters Anonymous, my chapter of the Arizona Quilters Guild.  David helped a bit w/these blocks.

And…I’ve finished this flimsy for a commission due at the end of March!  I’m calling it Cats Galore! The border fabric inspired the entire quilt! It’s perfect, because the recipient loves cats and her favorite color is blue!

And lastly, the cutest new addition ever…my grandson TJ!  He was born on Feb 12th, weighing in at 8lbs 4oz, measuring 20 3/4in long!

His quilt goes perfectly w/the crib bumper!
That’s all I have for now. Until next time, Happy Quilting and God Bless!

  1. Zenia, I am so happy for you, and for David. Like I told you in October, you are a total catch and do not need to compromise. And it looks like you took my advice (see how I'm taking credit here???) Bonus points: your quilts are awesome. I love the cat quilt. I've got a cat lover on my “list,” so I may have to borrow your pattern. Happy you! Happy me for you.

  2. Zenia, OMG, I've obviously missed a few of your posts. Congrats on happiness, grab it and hold on, I'm very happy for you girl!!!!! love your quilts, grandbabies and a new man, you are on a roll. I'm still playing around various new techniques I'm figuring out for a set of earings for you. Hugs!

Your Walk Like an Egyptian quilt looks great, and it will look wonderful if you hang it over your bed like you previously mentioned. Congrats on the finish!

  6. Glad your back! I'm not surprised. I may have seen this coming when I read your first David post. And congrats on the other new man in your life! This is all so exciting!

  7. I'm happy for you and your bf status! You definitely need to take time for some romance! Plus your quilts are gorgeous as is the baby. So adorable!

  8. I am so happy for you! We have know each other for over 20 years. We have been there through some of life's trials and tribulations. We have watched each other's children grow up. We talked about wanting to strengthen our relationship with God, being patient and waiting on him. May God continue to bless you!

  9. Zenia – happy dancing in so many areas of life! Glad you found a special someone and that David is creative like you are too! Congratulations on little TJ! Although, LOL … born on March twelfth? He looks so adorable and is going to love his snazzy crib!
